The REDE Group presents the results within the MARRISK project at the Port Authority of A Coruña
The REDE Group, together with CETMAR and GEAMA (Universidade da Coruña), invited stakeholders from the Outer Port of A Coruña, as well as experts in climate change and ports, to a meeting held at the Port Authority of A Coruña . During the day the results of the project "MarRISK: Improvement of the adaptation of the coast of Galicia-North Portugal to climate change" were presented. More specifically, Carlos Rodríguez (responsible for the REDE group's Transfer Unit) presented the methodology and the first results of activity 3 of this project. In this activity, with the collaboration of the Port Authority, a model will be developed to evaluate and improve the resistance of the Port of Punta Langosteira against the possible adverse effects derived from climate change.
With the contributions of the attendees and the work done to date will be developed a series of improvement proposals that, along with the resilience model, will be presented at a last meeting next June.
