REDE is a multidisciplinary research group —gathering researchers from the fields of economics, business and management engineering— at the University of Vigo.
Our main lines of research lie in the field of innovation and operational excellence, on the one hand, and in energy and the environment, on the other. The European Commission and the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation have funded this research systematically through competitive calls, and thus the output of our effort has led to numerous articles in some of the leading economics and strategy journals: Cambridge Journal of Economics, Climate Policy, Computers and Operations Research, Economic Modelling, Economic Theory, Energy Journal, Energy Policy, Environmental Economics and Policy Studies, Harvard Business Review, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, Industrial and Corporate Change, Industrial Marketing Management, International Journal of Operations and Production Management, Journal of Cleaner Production, Journal of Environmental Policy and Planning, Journal of Manufacturing Systems, Long Range Planning, Management and Organization Review, Natural Resource Modelling, Organization Science, Organization Studies, Public Choice, Research Policy, Review of Economic Dynamics, Supply Chain Management International Journal or Technology Analysis and Strategic Management.
These papers have furthered our collaboration in numerous knowledge transfer projects, both with public and private institutions. Our partnerships with public organizations have taken place with the Interamerican Development Bank, IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change), Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation, several branches of the Galician Government dealing with industrial competitiveness, CO2 emissions or efficiency in healthcare (IGAPE, GAIN, ACIS, IGE), Galician Economic and Social Council, and Vigo Free Trade Zone Consortium. Simultaneously, we have also carried out several research projects for technological centers and business firms in the energy, food, pharmaceutical, services, fish, building and automotive industries. Sometimes this cooperation takes place through framework agreements or European projects with clusters or business associations such as ASIME, AGACA, ANFACO or CEAGA. In other occasions, we have collaborated directly with individual firms and technological centers such as Alcantara & Partners, Altran, CECOPESCA, APM Management Tools, Atlantic, CETMAR, Gas Natural, Grupo Calvo, Gradiant, Iberdrola, Innova Consult, Jealsa Rianxeira, Kaizen Institute, Pescanova, PSA Peugeot Citroen, Repsol, Syngenta, TECNALIA Research & Innovation and King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center (KAPSARC).
