Within the scope
of the CODE MÁIS project, belonging to the INTERREG VA Spain-Portugal
Cross-Border Cooperation Program (POCTEP) 2014-2020, REDE group has initiated
actions aimed at promoting the improvement of quality and efficiency of health
services. For this, an improvement workshop has been carried out, developed in
three sessions on July 22, 24 and 29, in which a group of 12 professionals from
the Álvaro Cunqueiro de Vigo Hospital took part, formed by medical staff, from
Nursing and caretakers of the Emergency Department, as well as quality
technicians of the EOXI Vigo.
After a previous online training, during these three
days the working group consolidated the fundamental concepts of the Lean
philosophy for innovation in processes based on Continuous Improvement. During
the sessions, field work was carried out to optimize processes, reducing
fragmentation through organizational innovation. The activity will be completed
by carrying out, before the end of the year, a pilot project that allows us to
execute the necessary organizational changes to improve its efficiency and
increase the value offered to the patient.
