REDE group participates in the initial operational meeting of the TRANSFIRESAÚDE project
On February 8th, the
operational launch meeting of the TRANSFIRESAÚDE project took place in Santiago
de Compostela within the framework of the Interreg VA Spain-Portugal
Cooperation Programme (POCTEP). The meeting aimed to define the technical
approach of the project activities during the following months.
TRANSFIRESAÚDE is an
initiative led by the Axencia Galega de Coñecemento en Saúde (ACIS) together
with six partners from Galicia (Universidade de Vigo, CITIUS, Eurocidade
Chaves-Verín) and Northern Portugal (Instituto de Investigación de la
Universidade de Porto I3S, Centro Clínico Académico 2CA Braga, Associação
Centro de Medicina P5 ACMP5).
TRANSFIRESAÚDE is
committed to strengthening the integration of the Euroregional health research
and innovation ecosystem. The objective is to collaborate in developing
innovative actions to address challenges related to active and healthy ageing,
as well as personalised medicine, especially in the field of primary care.
The contribution of the
University of Vigo, through the REDE group, will focus on two key areas.
Firstly, a reference framework will be designed for decision-making on using
artificial intelligence (AI) in health services in the Euroregion. On the other
hand, the development of innovative methodologies for the improvement of
Primary Care will be carried out.
